How to Create your Instagram Link in Bio page in Wix

Here’s the written version of my step by step guide to create your own Instagram Link in Bio page in Wix.

STEP 1
Create the page

IMPORTANT NOTE: This guide only applies if your website is hosted on Wix!
These instructions apply to Wix Editor mode and not to Wix ADI.

1. Open your site pages menu, click “+ Add page” then select “+ blank page”.

2. Click on the 3 little dot icon to change the page’s settings:

   1. Settings: Rename the page + Hide from menu 👁

   2. Layouts: Select the No Header & Footer (optional)

   3. SEO Basics: Change URL + Untick SEO page indexation

   4. Social Share: Update your link’s preview image (optional)

STEP 2
Customise your page

You will need to create your page for desktops first. It is super important that you spend time adjusting everything for your site’s mobile version as this is where most if not all the traffic would come from.

• Change your page background

• Add your profile picture or biz logo at the top

• Add your Instagram handle + intro/description of what you do and location if you have a physical studio for example

• Add buttons or links to your most important content and make them the same size

• Include links to your other social media accounts

  Optional ideas:

• Embed a condensed version of your timetable

• Add a strip to show your recent blog posts

• Add the Instagram feed app to show your latest posts

📱 Remember to adjust the mobile version of your new page!

STEP 3
ADD your page to your insta bio

Once you’ve published your new page, you’re ready to share the URL of your custom link in bio page to your Social media profiles.

1. Open your instagram account

2. Select ‘Edit Profile’ (just under your bio when you’re on your mobile phone)

3. Add the url of your new page to the ‘Website’ section in your profile

4. Publish and start sending your followers to your bio for more info about your posts!

STEP 4
Track your views and link clicks

To track your page views and other site analytics, head to your Wix site dashboard and scroll down to the Analytics section on the lefthand menu. Some of the reports you can use to track your page once it’s been live for a little while are the following:

• Behavior Overview

• Reports > Page Visits

• Reports > Traffic by Entry Page
